We’re inviting you to be part of a brand-new, month-long campaign that brings the Pumpkin People visitors right into the heart of downtown. With a mix of creativity, food, art, and incentives to shop local, our goal is to drive foot traffic, increase spending, and shine a spotlight on your business.

And it's completely free and easy to participate.

Here’s how you can get involved:

1. Pumpkin People Storybook Walk

We’re enlarging the pages of the Pumpkin People children’s book  by Sandra & Ron Lightburn and displaying them in downtown windows to create a walking story trail through town. Visitors will be directed to follow the book page by page to read the story and also peer into the windows of your business.

2. Gourd Vignettes by Local Artists

If you’re not hosting a story page, you can opt to host a creative, gourd-based art installation in one of your front windows, made by a local artist. We'll handle the artist coordination and setup.

3. Pumpkin Palette Pleaser

Calling all restaurants, cafés, and food shops! Similar to previous years, you can enter your pumpkin-themed dish, drink, or treat into our friendly fall food competition. This year the public will vote on their favorite and prizes will be awarded. (Similar to Burger Wars setup.) We will facilitate the voting process.

4. Spend-to-Win Promo

We’re offering shoppers a Downtown Kentville Limited Edition Collector’s Sticker when they spend at least $50 at any downtown business. We will supply you with stickers. Just pass them out when someone meets the minimum purchase.
